Description
NSW. c. 1940. Portrait of a group of RAAF trainees being drilled on a parade ground. Sixth from right is 402547 Airman (later Pilot Officer) Thomas Frederick Wong See, the first Australian-born Chinese to serve in the RAAF. Note the summer uniforms the men are wearing and the .303 rifles they have sloped on their left shoulders.
