Germany. 1943-09. Adolf Hitler greets Benito Mussolini after German parachutists rescued the ex-Duce from his place of imprisonment in the Abruzzi Mountains. Although the new Italian Government had joined in the war against Germany, this rescue assisted the Germans in controlling northern Italian cities during much of the subsequent campaign.
