Armidale, NSW, c. 1916. Formal studio portrait of Captain Lindon Howard Russell Higinbotham, a grazier of Armidale and commander of 'A' Company, 3rd Infantry Battalion. Captain Higinbotham died of wounds received in the area of Merris and La Kreule in France on 1918-06-21. He was aged 28.
