Description
An unidentified airman from No 3 Squadron RAAF, based in the Western Desert, North Africa, sitting in the cockpit of an aircraft with a pet monkey checking the Tomahawk before it takes off. This is possibly 'Buzz', a monkey who was somewhat of a celebrity in the Squadron. Sergeant Cameron smuggled the monkey on board the troopship at Bombay, en route to the Middle East. Later taken Prisoner of War, he sent a card back to the squadron inquiring about Buzz, seemingly more concerned about its fate than his own.
