Papers of 409148 Flying Officer William Ross Kinsman, comprising: (i) Observer's Flying Log Book and Sight Log Book documenting his training in Australia and England and, from February 1943 until February 1945, service as a navigator with 53 Squadron, Royal Air Force, mainly in Liberators on patrolling and low level bombing missions against shipping in the English Channel, Bay of Biscay and North Sea (ii) service papers, including RAF identity card (iii) RAAF 'Astronomical Navigation' notes, and technical notebooks and lecture notes on air navigation, observation and bombing (iv) typescripts, correspondence, notes and printed material relating to the history of 53 Squadron (including nominal lists of air crews), and papers of the 53 Squadron Association (v)one photograph album and two photographs of the Squadron.
