Kunming, China. 1944. Flight Lieutenant J. W. Edwards of Gladesville, NSW, in a pensive mood looking across the water at Shi Shan. He was one of the "Hump" fliers ferrying supplies from India to China over the Himalaya Mountains. Douglas C47 and DC3 Dakota transport aircraft were used in hazardous conditions.
