Description
Vietnam. 1967-07. War artist Lieutenant Bruce Fletcher of Glen Iris, Vic (left), works on an oil painting on an easel in his outdoor studio in the rubber trees around the Australian Task Force base. Captain Bob Skelton of Newcastle, NSW, and the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), is taking a keen interest in the progress of the portrait painting of Private Jim Molony of Camooweal, Qld, a machine gunner. Fletcher wears a plaster cast on his leg as he was wounded in the foot when a captured enemy weapon accidentally discharged.
