Description
Vietnam. 1967-11. Private Robert Harris of Camden, NSW, checks the sharpness of a Viet Cong axe found abandoned in a jungle village during Operation Santa Fe in the north east of Phuoc Tuy Province. The axe was left behind with food, supplies, clothing, equipment and gardening tools in the village built to train and supply Viet Cong. After the village was found by 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), it was searched and destroyed it.
