Description

RPG 7V Rocket Launcher or Anti Tank Grenade Launcher. Tubular construction having a reinforced centre section covered with a light brown wood fibre heat shield, two pistol grips and a conical rear that has a rolled edge. On the left side is a dovetail bracket for an optical sight. The forward alloy trigger pistol grip section with brown ribbed plastic side plates, has a button safety and a rear cocking hammer. It is marked with Cyrillic letters together with the serial number, an arrow within an oval and 1967r. The battle sights are a folding front post and an adjustable rear leaf. Overall metal parts painted black.

History / Summary

The Soviet RPG 7V is an anti-tank free flight rocket propelled brenade launcher. There are two pistol-grips and two relatively small iron sights graduated every 100 metres from 100 to 500. A 2 1/2 x telescopic sight and the NSO2 infra-red night sight can be fitted onto the dovetail bracket.
