South Vietnam. 1967-11. Taking notes during Operation Santa Fe is Captain Robert Skelton of Beresfield, NSW (left), who was also a journalist with a Newcastle newspaper. With him is Sapper Bernie Crooks, 21, of Waratah, NSW, and 1st Field Squadron, Royal Australian Engineer (RAE). Captain Skelton is a member of the Army Public Relations team with the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) in Phuoc Tuy Province.
