Description

Fontaine-sous-Preaux. 1944-06. A German VI flying bomb site blasted from the air as a bomb was about to be launched against England. Flying bombs began falling mainly in and around London a few days after the Allied invasion of France. They caused considerable damage and casualties until the sites were destroyed or overrun during the Allied advance through France and Belgium.
