Captain Rod Curtis of South Perth, WA, second in command of D Company, 9th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (9RAR), with his rifle ready for action as he moves across a stream. He was leading a patrol during Operation Goodwood, a reconnaissance-in-force in the north west of Phuoc Tuy Province.
