Description

Phuoc Tuy Province, Vietnam. 1967-12. A young Vietnamese boy living in an area at the base of the rugged Nui Dinh mountains, sells soft drinks (Coca Cola) to two thirsty soldiers on operations against the Viet Cong. The soldiers, Private Monaghan of Hillcrest, SA (right), and Private First Class Elmer Cox of Illinois, USA, were setting up a fire control base for 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), troops who were sweeping through the area.
