Description

Phuoc Tuy Province, Vietnam. 1967-12. Lying in wait at the base of the Nui Dinh mountains are Private Bernie Evans of Wangaratta, Vic (left), and his Second in Command on the M50 machine-gun, Private David Sparks of Mooloolaba, Qld. They were giving protection to the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), as they swept through the rugged terrain in search of Viet Cong.
