Pforzheim, Germany. 1945-03-23. An aerial photograph of a concentrated RAF bombing attack on this communication junction and precision parts production centre. The grey-black smoke is from the burning target. White clouds and bursts of anti-aircraft fire lit by parachute flares make a spectacular scene.
