Description

Binh Gia, South Vietnam. 1968-01. Craftsman Geoff Astle of Tarragindi, Qld, a member of 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), is handed a bundle of letters written to Australian soldiers by a Vietnamese school teacher and her class. The idea was given to the children by the Vinh Ha Catholic school headmaster, Anh Tan Khai, who knew that Australian and American soldiers would be thinking of their families back home.
