Vung Tau, South Vietnam. 1969-05-19. Soldiers of the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR), arrive in the troopship HMAS Sydney for the Battalion's second tour. Disembarking, carrying their bags down the gangway to an awaiting landing craft are Private (Pte) Pio Martin of Nundah, Qld (lower) and Pte Robert Ridgeway of Croydon Park, SA. The Battalion are relieving 4RAR which has completed its one year tour, and will be based at Nui Dat with the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF).
