Description

British Army waterproof bag for a signal battery. Rubberised khaki canvas bag has a square cross-section and two white canvas tapes for tying the bag shut. Printed in black on the outside of the bag is 'W D 39/AAZA 15437/NO 1.BAGS/WATERPROOF/SIGNAL'. Printed on a white label sewn into the hem at the opening of the bag is 'Bags, Waterproof, Signal/DIRECTIONS FOR USE/Insert battery in bag, socket uppermost. Insert plug in socket and pleat open mouth of bag evenly and tightly on to rubber lead. Tie off as tightly as possible, with tapes provided./J.E. & Co., Ltd.'.
