Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. 1968-03. Sergeant Kevin Rogers of Whyalla, SA, gripping the sides of a seventy foot deep shaft in a Viet Cong cave, calls his mates for assistance. Corporal Rogers had just discovered a cache of rice stored at the bottom of the shaft. His unit, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), was probing an enemy underground hospital complex they found during Operation Pinnaroo in the Long Hai Hills, south-east of the Task Force Base.
