Vung Tau Harbour, South Vietnam. 1968-04-09. Troops from 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), are ferried across Vung Tau harbour in a landing craft after arriving in the war zone aboard HMAS Sydney. For more than 100 members of the battalion, the arrival meant the beginning of their second tour in Vietnam. Note the pile of kitbags in the centre of the landing craft.
