Embroidered calico apron : Civil Internee Gwyneth Brown, Yangchow Camp, Shanghai
Description
Calico apron with neck loop and behind the back ties. There are numerous multi-coloured embroidered signatures, underlaid with the signatory's camp occupation, randomly scattered across the apron. 'YANGCHOW' is embroidered in yellow across the bib of the apron. There is a decorative hemmed seam in yellow across the top of the apron and across the top of a patch pocket at the lower right front.
