Horseshoe Hill, South Vietnam. 1969-07. Private Noel Gibson of North Ryde, NSW, a member of C Company, 9th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (9RAR), explains the finer points of his 7.62mm L1A1 self loading rifle (SLR), Standard Australian Service Rifle, to a South Vietnamese soldier from the 18th Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) during a break in training at Horseshoe Hill near Nui Dat.
