South Vietnam. 1968-05. Corporal Mario Apfelbaum of Newport, Vic, screen printing maps of Phuoc Tuy Province. Corporal Apfelbaum, a screenprinter before he was called up for national service, is a member of the 1st Topographical Survey Unit in Vietnam. The unit produced around 100,000 maps, sketches and overlays each year for use by troops of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) at Nui Dat.
