3/10681 Private (Pte) S 'Taffy' Collict, of Geelong, Vic, D Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), using an Australian made 510 radio set to keep in touch with company headquarters at Lintang some 6000 yards away. He is armed with a Number 5, Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE), jungle carbine. Pte Collict also served in Korea with 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), from 1952-1953.
