Kokoda, Papua, 1942-11. Informal outdoors portrait of NX454 Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Arthur Francis Hobson, CO of the 2/4th Field Ambulance, at the unit's camp and Main Dressing Station (MDS). Lt Col Hobson, who was never optimistic about the chances of continuing good weather, is wearing a raincoat.
