Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. 1968-07. Private Ron Boyd of Manly, NSW, a member of 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), takes a break for a meal during Operation Blue Mountains in south-east Phuoc Tuy Province. The armoured and infantry operation was a five day reconnaissance-in-force in thick jungle country north of the Long Hai Hills. Note his M60 machine gun and ammunition belts beside him.
