Private Wayne Hodge of Newcastle, NSW, watches and waits while in an M113 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) of B Sqn 3rd Cavalry Regiment (3Cav) during Operation Blue Mountains in south-east Phuoc Tuy Province. A member of 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), Private Hodge was taking part in an armoured/infantry sweep of the area just north of the Long Hai Hills. Note his M60 machine gun at the ready and Centurion tanks of C Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment (1AR) in the background.
