Description
A Centurion tank from C Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment, moves along a lane near the village of Hoa Long in Phuoc Tuy Province on its way towards a blocking position for a one day sweep by troops of 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR). They combed an area of jungle and rice paddy with the tanks blocking any escape routes. Identified on top of the tank are, left, 36217 Sergeant (Sgt) Norman Leonard (Len) Allen; and right, 2785419 Trooper (Tpr) Daniel Edwin Kenny. The tank had callsign 32 Alpha (32A) and Army Registration Number 169037.
