South Vietnam. 1968-09-03. Gunner Murray Hall of Albany, WA (left), loads a round into the breech of one of the 105mm Howitzer guns of the 104th Field Battery, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA) based at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base in Nui Dat. Lance Bombardier Brian Elliott of Wollongong, NSW, prepares to fire the gun in support of Australian infantry operations. The battery is often located at fire support bases where their artillery support has proved invaluable to Australian and New Zealand infantry on operations.
