South Vietnam. 1968-09-03. Gunner Wayne Gillies of Footscray, Vic, sets the sights of a 105mm Howitzer gun for a fire mission in support of troops on operations. Gunner Gillies is a member of the 104th Field Battery, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA), which is based at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base at Nui Dat. The battery's guns harass the enemy day and night as they fire upon known enemy camps and infiltration routes.
