Soputa, Papua, 1942-12. In the aftermath of monsoonal rains, two members of the 2/4th Field Ambulance sit inside the flooded tent that serves as the orderly room at the unit's Main Dressing Station (MDS) at the camp known as Soputa 2. The MDS had been forced to move to this location in dense jungle from its former site in a clearing about a kilometre away after Japanese aircraft had strafed and bombed the unit, killing several of its members.
