Soputa, Papua, 1942-12. A group of sick and wounded soldiers lies on stretchers on the ground near the Evacuation Tent (not in view) at the Main Dressing Station (MDS) of the 2/4th Field Ambulance at the camp known as Soputa 2. The men are waiting for jeeps to take them to the airstrip at Popondetta from where they will be evacuated by air to Port Moresby. (Donor A. Hobson)
