South Vietnam. 1968-09. Private Alex Bondar of Sylvania, NSW, hands a gift from Australia to a young Vietnamese patient in the Baria hospital, five miles from the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base at Nui Dat. The gifts were sent to the 1st Australian Civil Affairs Unit by the Duranillan-Moodiarrap branch of the Country Womens' Association in Western Australia for distribution to children and adult patients at the hospital. Note another Vietnamese child looking on.
