While seated in a jeep, Victoria Cross (VC) winner, Warrant Officer Class 2 Ray Simpson of Sydney, NSW, spares a cigarette and a light for an elderly Vietnamese woman during a visit to a village. WO2 Simpson, a member of the Australian Army Training Team in Vietnam (AATTV), is working with a Village Defence Advisory Team in the area.
