Efogi North, Papua, 1942-10-15. Using poles cut from trees as walking sticks to support themselves, a group of weary Australian infantry troops reaches the summit of the ridge at Efogi North on the Kokoda Trail. The soldiers have made the steep climb behind members of the 2/4th Field Ambulance.
