Description

Hoa Long, South Vietnam. 1968-09. Private Ron Morris of Daylesford, Vic, refills an insecticide spraying machine during a programme in the Vietnamese village of Hoa Long, designed to cut down the incidence of malaria. Members of the 1st Field Hygiene Company, 1st Australian Civil Affairs Unit, discovered a high malaria rate among the villagers and moved in with insecticides to spray in and around the houses.
