Description

Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1968-10. Private Andrew Hoban of Auburn, NSW, passes the ball quickly to Sergeant Bob Towns of Quirindi, NSW, during a touch football game between A and D Companies of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), at the battalion's base camp at Nui Dat. The match ended in a 1-all draw. The mud didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the players who were all bare footed, left to right: Private (Pte) John Taylor of Orange, NSW; Pte Tony Scott of Holsworthy, NSW, Corporal Paul Richardson of New Farm, Qld; Pte Hoban and Sergeant Towns.
