At the Australian Forces Post Office, Private Keith Kipp of Lithgow, NSW (left), watches Private Gerrit Kool of Bayswater, Vic, as he works on the post office's new franking machine. The machines were installed in each of the three forces post offices in Vietnam. With Christmas on the way and 140,000 letters expected to go back to Australia each week in December, the franking machines will save three to four hours work a day on the old method of manually stamping each article.
