South Vietnam. 1968-11. Lance Corporal Dave Everall of Inverbrackie, SA (left), and Corporal Eddie Desfontaines of Hackham, SA, both members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), check a map during operations in Phuoc Tuy Province. They were patrolling in search of enemy base camps and rice caches about sixteen miles north-west of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base at Nui Dat.
