Description
Six fold concertina type paper booklet printed on both sides in black ink. Printed in black on the front and back panel with 'BURMESE, CHINESE AND JAPANESE PHRASES'. The second panel on one side is printed with useful English phrases. On the next three panels are the corresponding Burmese, Chinese and Japanese translations. On the other side is a list of common objects which an escaping airman might ask for, and their translation into Burmese, Chinese and Japanese.

Associated with A403929 Flight Lieutenant D J Innes, RAAF, an Australian who served with 27 Squadron, RAF, flying Beaufighters in Burma. This booklet was part of the escape / survival kit issued to him.
