Vinh Thanh, South Vietnam. 1968-12-30. Private Peter Hannah of Albion, Qld, helps young Vietnamese children open parcels of clothing at the hamlet of Vinh Thanh, about six miles north of the 1st Australian Task Force Base (1ATF) at Nui Dat. The children received the parcel of clothing, which had been sent to the 1st Australian Civil Affairs Unit at Nui Dat, for distribution to Vietnamese poor as part of the unit's Operation New Life.
