Description
Signalman Tony King of Inglefarm, SA, a Vietnamese interpreter, Le Thi Nhung (left), and a local worker, Truong Thi Hong (right), hand out toys to disbelieving children at a Christmas party for 120 orphans at the Redemptionist Orphanage. Unlike Christmas parties in Australia, there was no Santa Claus to distribute the gifts. Vietnamese children know no Santa. The party was organised by soldiers of the 110th Signal Squadron detachment in Saigon. The gifts were donated by the Australia-Vietnam Church Aid Project.
