Description

Signalman Tony King of Inglefarm, SA, and a local worker, Truong Thi Hong, distribute Christmas gifts to orphans. Unlike Christmas parties in Australia, there was no Santa Claus to distribute the gifts. Vietnamese children know no Santa. The party was organised by soldiers of the 110th Signal Squadron detachment in Saigon, and the gifts were donated by the Australia-Vietnam Church Aid Project. There were also drinks, and sweets for all the 120 orphans at the Redemptionist Orphanage.
