Pair of black leather gloves for wear with winter service dress uniform.

History / Summary

Associated with 423361 Flight Lieutenant Donald Grant Uther, 462 Squadron RAAF. Donald Grant was born on 2 September 1915 and enlisted in the RAAF on 20 June 1942. He undertook training at Temora and MacLeod (Canada), graduating as a pilot of Wellington and Halifax bombers with 462 Squadron. Uther piloted many bombing missions over German cities and industrial areas in 1944-45. Post-war he married Dora Barnett, his Wireless Operator Cliff Barnett's oldest sister.
