Fire Support Base Peggy, South Vietnam. 1970-01. The Commander of the Australian Force, Vietnam designate, Major General (Maj Gen) C. A. E. Fraser of Duntroon, ACT (right). With him is the Commanding Officer of 8th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (8RAR), Lieutenant Colonel Keith O'Neill of Alderley, Qld. Maj Gen Fraser was on a visit to 8RAR as part of a familiarisation visit to the theatre before taking over command from Maj Gen R. A. Hay in early 1970-03. Maj Gen Fraser is at present Commandant of the Royal Military College (RMC), Duntroon.
