Original diary and note of Sergeant Alexander Milne Page M.I.D. (No.SX5609), 2/7 Field Ambulance. Commences October 1944 with his arrival in Townsville and briefly refers to his voyage aboard the "Bontekoe" New Guinea. Describes his daily activities mainly around the Aitape Wewak area and his eventual return to Queensland, Australia September 1945. The handwritten note refers to the attack which led to Sergeant Page being Mentioned in Despatches.
