A postcard of portraits of four members of the Gregory family who played 69 cricket test matches ...
Description
A postcard of portraits of four members of the Gregory family who played 69 cricket test matches for Australia between 1877 and 1921. Jack Morrison Gregory, served in WWI as a lieutenant in the AIF artillery. At Johannesburg in 1921 he scored a century in 70 minutes against South Africa, the fastest hundred (measured in minutes rather than minutes rather than balls) in the history of Test cricket. His uncle, David W. Gregory, captained the Australians in the first ever Test match, against England, played in Melbourne in March 1877 where they won by 45 runs.
