Yokohama, Japan. 27 September 1945. Three officers who were survivors from HMAS Perth: Lieutenant William Gay of Balwyn, Vic; Lieutenant Commander Polo Owen of Darling Point, NSW, and Sub-Lieutenant Tom Robbins of Unley Park, SA. After the sinking of the cruiser HMAS Perth they were prisoners of war (POWs) in Sendai prison camp.
