Thazi, Burma. c. January 1945. Inspecting the interior of a temple near Kaleymo which had been abandoned by the Burmese after it was damaged by the Japanese are three RAAF Hurricane pilots of No. 20 Squadron RAF. Left to right: 409374 Flying Officer Roy Bennell of Redcliffs, Vic; 401140 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Peter McMillan of Inverleigh, Vic; 412450 Pilot Officer John Jenkins of Narromine, NSW. Flt Lt McMillan commands the first rocket-carrying Hurricane aircraft flight in Burma.
