Nui Dat, South Vietnam. April 1971. Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Sir Thomas Daly, paid a farewell visit to soldiers at the 1st Australian Task Force Base (1ATF) at Nui Dat. Lt Gen Daly inspected a guard of honour at the Luscombe Airbase and paused to speak with Craftsman Ian Winning of Miranda, NSW.
